Director/screenwriter/cinematographer/actor/editor from the UK here. I started writing scripts around three years ago, none of them ever saw production because they either ended up unfinished or I didn't have the time or equipment to film them. Recently, I invested in a new professional quality camera and some other equipment with the intent of using them for my AS Film Studies practical project, but I'm also planning on shooting a film based around my project, which is basically a prologue for the full film.
