Hey, guys!

I'm totally in love with this forum already and it's only been a few weeks.

I graduated from film school a couple years ago with the intent of getting into production and post sound but, surprise surprise, was having trouble financially supporting myself (too many indies with the $25/day stipend... but it's okay because I'll get a copy and credit and pizza!) I bit the bullet and got a "real job" working at one'a those 24-hour shopping channels in the art department. I miss free lancing and production terribly, but I've been fighting the doldrums here ever since finding this site and soaking up all the awesome advice from people like AudioAlcove (seriously, you are the man!!) and starting a mental list for a basic sound kit I can buy once I've finally saved up enough...

And because I need an expensive hobby (trying to be an artist for a living wasn't enough...) I've been getting more and more into photography over the years. I bought the T2i last year and have been getting by on my cheapy 50mm f/1.8 but am getting pretty desparate for something new. Haven't decided yet what it'll be... but in the meantime, I'm really enjoying reading up on other peoples' T2i experience. I shot my cousin's wedding over the summer and would like to do more experimental stuff with it.

Anyway, I just wanted to poke my head in and say 'hi' and you guys rock and I'm looking forward to perusing the boards henceforth. :D
