Hello from Tuscaloosa, AL

Hello everyone!

I am a Mechanical Engineering student at The University of Alabama and a complete novice to filmmaking. I have owned an XSi for a couple of years and have come to know that camera like the back of my hand. I've shot thousands of photos with it in many different scenarios. I was recently introduced to filmmaking, thanks to Campus Moviefest. We shot a 5 minute film in less than a week (from concept to final product) and I thought it turned out pretty well, given the circumstances. My friend has a degree in TCF and has shot many weddings and other events as a side business. I guess I have gotten the "itch," and we are wanting to continue working together. We have two other friends who also enjoyed the process and want to help. At some point, I hope we all (4 or more) of us will shoot, act, edit, etc together. Anyway, we rented equipment from school (T2i, Zoom H2) to shoot our first video and we are wanting to buy/upgrade from that setup. I will post my technical questions in the appropriate areas. I've already read a good bit on the site and I like what I've seen. It's good to be here. You can watch our film for CMF below. Be kind!
