Hello. My name is Haakon and I come from the west-coast of Norway. I have no experience in film making, except for when me and a friend of mine made little sketches with my dad's video camera when we were kids. I am quite interested in film and music. I play the guitar mostly, but more or less anything I can get my hands on.
I don't have a camera or any equipment. Where should I start? I've got around 400 bucks now. And I'll get another 200-300$ next month. But I can save up till I get more if I need too.
I like the films of Roman Polanski, Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino and David Lynch. And a lot of others too.
This seems like a nice forum. I hope I don't seem like a complete moron.
Keep in mind that the search function is your friend. Everyone here is always very glad to help you out, but a lot of the "basics" questions have been asked and answered many times.
Yeah I thought about that right after I made the thread :/ I just found a camera though. There's this guy selling it used with a shotgun mic and a "Wide-Converter". I have to admit I don't really know what that is. The camera is a Canon HG10. Are these any good?
Canon HG10, Canon DM-50 and Canon WD-H43 for 920$ Is that a good price? Also, Norwegian prices tend to be a bit higher. So even if it isn't a bargain in the US, it might be here.
