Just thought I would say hello. I am a long time photography looking to get more into film and DSLR video. I came from a Nikon background, but have recently made the jump to Canon for several reasons. I currently shoot a Canon 600D, and use a 50mm f/1.8 and 70-200mm f/4.0 for glass.
Like most beginners I am on a fairly tight budget, but I have over 15 years photographic experience to bring along with, and I will do what I can to offer the community.
I just finished making my own shoulder rig out of PVC, I just need to add some final touches like a sponge base plate for the camera, foam grips, a better bolt and padded weight to the rear section. So far, so good. I will post up some video of it in use.
I painted it with "hammered" plastic paint to give it a metallic feel and look.
