I am a screenwriter/future director about to start in the Michigan Institute of Film in September. Just wanted to say hi. I am really upset with films that are being put out today... and I'm young!(21) The indie world is a real place for filmmakers who care about the art of films. I hope we can all make movies that we care about that has a purpose and maybe we can slow down all these fast paced superhero films or parody films that all have the same concept. Anyone from Michigan on here?

no... but i'm close... i'm in ohio....
and i agree with you for the most part... i think there are a few artistic films being made in hollywood... but yeah, there's so much shallowness in movies... where special effects replace meaning.... too bad..... i enjoy a well done action/adventure film... but there have been plenty that were well made... versus most of the vapid crap that's heaped on us today... too many cardboard characters and high school/jr. high storylines.
