Hello evryone im Sean aKa Slim Wit Da GoaTee. Im new here with some ways to go. I am into music production but really looking to get into the indie film bizz. I just bought my first DSLR (7D) and really would like to start shooting something but don't really know where to start. I have a few great story ideas but don't know where to begin. Help please, lol.

This is my advise to you, watch as many films as you can, but this time look at how they construct a movie/edit . You got a 7D, so get a good follow focus and learn how to use it (you gona need it )

If you need to learn the fundamentals of the craft, there are plenty of good tips in that thread. And practice makes perfect. Keep making movies and even though your first couple will be terrible, if you learn from your mistakes, you will get better.

Owning a camera is not necessarily a ticket to making your own films. As you mentioned, you don't even have a story idea.
Maybe you have some friends with ideas? Gain some hands-on experience with that camera (and learn from mistakes) on their dime, while coming up with your own future production plans?
I'm just a 98 though.
