HD Lenses and Filters

Im thinking about buying an HD lens and filter kit but it is very expensive.

I was wondering if there is a big difference between HD lenses/filters and standard.

They say the glass is much better quality but how much do they improve the visual quality?

And is it worth the big price tag?

I'm not a camera-expert by any means, but it does kinda sound like someone's trying to mark up a price-point by adding "HD" to the description.

Tiffen filters are very good. They are cross-media (like all).
