please forgive my ignorance on this matter (its been so long since i had a goosey at the bible) but what actually happened at easter to Jesus?
my mum thinks he came back to life, my brother thinks he died on the friday, then came back on the sunday. can someone please explain what actually happened to Jesus please? i mean no offence to anyone in asking this question, i am just unable to get it off my mind.

This is the traditional belief, yes. Whether it is "true" or not depends on your beliefs of course :) (not saying one way is bad or anything).
 
cheers shaw, but what about the other days? isn't there a shrove tuesday and an, er, ash (is it) wednesday. where do they come into it please? thanks for the info.
 
Ash Wednesday is the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, which led to his impending crucifixion.

Good Friday is the day of his crucifixion.

And Easter is the day of his resurrection.

According to the Christian belief.
