HAIL, Independent filmmakers!

Hail friends and filmmaking community! I'm new to the forum and am SUPER excited about the adventures of filmmaking, and, better yet, the opportunity to correspond and share with all of you.

I am in the middle of making my third independent feature film. I'm not very knowledgeable on things and have a LOT to learn. I hope to get some help and advice from you gurus and hope that I can also contribute to helping others. Thank you indietalk.

More Missouri-ites! Who let them loose?

You must have learned a thing or two 'bout a thing or two, on the journey. What kind of budgets you working with? :)

Zensteve,

Believe it or not, my first feature was an 18th century setting with a cast of over 40 characters. They were all willing to act for free but none of us had any experience in the department. I finished the project (with many mistakes) on a $1,600 budget. It was 160 minutes in length, and that after cutting out a dozen scenes.

And you're right! Watch out for the Missouri-ites! :) Thank you so much for your welcome. :)
