Good day gentlemen,
my name is Philip May, I am a 15 1/2 year old male from Germany. I'm currently visiting 10th grade at a grammar school in Munich.
My hobbies are:
-Kung Fu ( for 7 years )
-the piano ( for 9 years )
-animation (at Fluidanims, I don't exactly know for how long unfortunately)
-simple hobby filming
aims for the future:
become director, actor, producer if possible
Well, so far I tried to do 2 little movies. Both of them were done together with my friends, and were not exactly the best work, as we were mainly jerking around and it was SO hard to keep them going and making them do something. As the first movie was made with a script, but failed in some way because at a point we all did not have enough time for the movie and because at some point....we didn't stick with it..
While doing the second movie (currently on hold) I did not do a script because I knew we wouldn't stick to it, I just thought of a major story line. Surprisingly we achieved to act more professional than in the first movie and made some cool scenes. But as I don't have any experiences with editing movies ( except for cutting it) , all my friends don't have any as well.
I joined this forum to learn from community members' movies and to learn by posting my movies here for constructive criticism.
But the main reason I joined, was to find out about what camera would suit best for what kind of situation, sites where I can buy/rent used ones, etc. due to my..."limited" money resources.
likes: a good movie, Martial Arts, honesty, music (all sort of stuff, mainly Death Metal), many computer games (such as: Oblivion the Elderscrolls IV , Skyrim the Elderscrolls V, the Assassins Creed Games, Star Wars Battlefront I / II
Hopefully this was enough for an "Introduce yourself" and I am looking forward to getting to know you all
