Must be a hugely complex project!A year to render.. that's funny.. so whats the oops for? Was the problem between the chair and the keyboard?
I've done some audio renders that initially say several hours, then, after a few minutes, settle down to an hour, then after a few more minutes, renders out in 10 or 15 minutes.
BTW, are you sure this isn't an April Fools joke? I worked in a company where a programmer was prone to these kinds of gags....

oh yeah, April fools.. I recall that Magic Lantern had a screen inverting April fools Easter egg the first year I used it.. still there?
