Hi,

Where could an unknown writer submit scripts for consideration in the U.S and get paid well if they're taken on?

Production companies.. etc

There are many prodCo's that will accept script submissions. A
great resource is The Hollywood Creative Directory. The accepted
method is to send a letter of inquiry (also called a query letter) to
the person in charge. If they request your script you send it.
