I know FoV changes across image plane formats have been the subject of much discussion. This handy-dandy reference should help folks somewhat.

Yeah, someone posted this a couple of weeks or so. I think it may have been in a thread about something else so its good it has its own thread. It'll make it easier for people who use the search function.

Thought it seemed familiar.

Interesting the tool is setup for 16x9 flavors on each sensor, so 3-perf s35 for comparison.

I wanted to make a thread dedicated to useful links like these, but since we have a no-sticky policy it seems silly.

That's a good idea. It would be really useful and helpful with beginner questions.

And yes, s35 and 3perf. But thats usually the end fov anyway, whichever way you end up achieving it. 3 perf incamera or cropping in projector. So i guess he kept it simple to be able to use his calculator helpfully instead of creating massive confusion. correct? (sorry im a director first and a cinematographer second.)(And a drinker, third )

Ya, in retrospect my comment doesn't make much sense. Sometimes I over-think these things.
