FOSTEX FR-2LE

I have been thinking about buying the FR-2LE for low-budget films (shorts, documentaries, etc.) Does anyone have any experience with this device? Or would you recommend something else? Musicians Friend has it for $599. I don't want to spend more than that.

too bad..old post

if you have not gotten this machine already...please write to me via private message and i will turn you on to a better choise...Fostex make fine equipment...but this one missed the mark and has NO Timecode....you can get a better Fostex with 3 inputs and TC for about the same price....
