Format - Cut to:

Hey all,

Just a quick question. I've looked a few different places and have yet to find a solid answer on this. But should the Cut To: appear only at scene cuts? I ask because I like to write in short shots of flashbacks, thoughts, etc. which in the film would only last a few seconds on screen. Would I use Cut to: then Cut: to book end those? Or would a short scene heading do the trick?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

"Cut To" is never needed. Every reader will understand when you
put in a new slug line that when the final product is shown there
will be a cut.

The job of the writer isn't to decide how long a scene will last on screen.
