Here's a music video I completed toward the end of last year for a great bunch of guys from Florida.
It involved light painting, timelapse, green screen and camera-matching. Had a lot of fun with it.
Great video! Wasn't crazy about the song, but the video fit perfectly! I particularly liked the "band setting up" portions; it did a great job of conveying "a change is coming" and building anticipation. Great work!
Zensteve: The light-painting bits (with the letters spelled out in the dark) were done using still pictures. With the camera on a tripod in a dark location, I'd hold the shutter open (bulb exposure) and briefly flash a light at the subjects so they'd show up in the camera. Then while standing in the exact same place (and the shutter still held open), they draw letters in the air with LED flashlights, LCD screens on phones, etc...
Once the shutter is released, you get a picture of the guys with bright letters in front of them.
The process was done a few times for each word, so we'd get a stop-motion effect.
