I live in Thailand and am a published author (two books with an award-winning UK publisher; one of them still in print), a self-published author (another two books on Kindle) and a former photojournalist who worked all over Asia for big print magazines back in the golden, pre-digital age of photojournalism, on assignment for publications like TIME, Newsweek, L'Express, Businessweek.
For the last ten years I have been writing mostly proposals and treatments for a UK TV producer. With the same company I co-wrote a four-part documentary series for PBS that, post-broadcast, was PBS's best-selling DVD of 2015. Or so I'm told.
Despite considerable experience of dealing with book publishers, I am dismayed by how seemingly impossible it is to get drama scripts (TV or film) in front of anyone involved in the making of TV drama or movies. I hope to learn more about the dark art from the forum.
