archived-videos "Fine" directed by Ian Frowler

Based in Portland, Oregon, Ian Frowler has made a very interesting and compelling short film.

In making films, its so stressed that audio is just as important as visuals. This short film proves the the rule doesn't apply to all stories. Much like a def man who develops excellent vision and sense of touch because he's robbed of hearing, this film makes you becomes so highly sensitive to everything that is happening. You create your own sounds and musical tones to convey the dramatic mood that this film invokes. The actors did an excellent job portraying these seemingly troubled characters.

I recommend that people here take ten minutes and watch this excellent short film!

Note: I did not make this film or have been paid to share this film. I watched this and felt it deserved some attention. And I know he would love all of your feedback. Thanks!

It would have been a lot better WITH sound. Needs a tripod as well.

I clicked to the end from around the 5 min marked cause it was so slow. That combined with no sounds make it rough to get through.

Stopped it at 1:30.

No.
It is not interesting.
It is not compelling.
It is boring.

A story should be interesting also applies to all stories.
Twenty seconds of a boy staring at his wrist isn't interesting.
Sorry.
I gave it a more than 1/10 it's lifespan in court. :(

Jou know that track from the ending credits from david linch Inland Empire? Its awsome.....thats wat i was playing while watching this movie...I find it hard to relate to the kid....I dont know wy.....maby becouse we dont get to know him realy well.

Well I kind of liked it for what its worth. Aesthetic was nice, although the shaky cam was occasionally a little distracting when it got particularly wobbly. And it had a subtle, sad little story if you were willing to engage with it. Perhaps a tad over-long for such a deliberately experimental piece but overall I enjoyed it and thought it was interesting.
