Films with news footage - what cameras?

Hello,
Just wanted to know with some motion picture films, you see news footage that look like it is on a different camera?
I am wanting to know if anyone can elaborate on this? and is this actually another camera?
thanks.

Do you have any examples?

Stephen King's "The Stand" miniseries has some great examples of that changing look.

Shot on S16 (IMDB says 35mm, but pretty sure that's wrong), and all the news coverage looks like video.

Dunno if they changed to actual video, or not, for that effect... just a great miniseries, anyway. :)

If you want a newscast to look real, you may want to visit a news set, in fact, you can probably use a news set for your production, including the cameras, at a smaller channel. Does your area have cable access studios?
