Filming Style: The Crow

.

Can anybody give me ideas, clues, or an insight on how The Crow was made with the Gothic/Artsy feel to it?

Wonder why Zandt edited it out?

The Q was originally about how to set "atmosphere" best, or similar, for the grim gothicy feel that The Crow (and a few other movies) had... if anyone feels like taking it up. :)

*first log on in awhile*

Sorry about leaving it with nothing there. I edited it to re-define my question, because I worded it wrong eventually but my comp at the time pretty much died so I never got to fully complete the edit.

yeah...sorry it was an easy stab to take at you. The way they did the gothicy look is mostly art direction...lots of dark muted colors and wet surfaces. Dark Costumes and makeup...lack of bright colors and lack of naturey palettes.

and Cinematography...lots of comic book angles and painting the backgrounds with light. Big lights to illuminate the dark walls etc. Almost noir in the application of light and exposure.
