Festivals accept all kinds of films. Some even have specific "experimental" categories. What do you mean by experimental?

Sorry, don't know what that mean. If it's still a narrative film, then any film festival. The best directors are always experimenting. If it is experimental film, and does not follow a narrative, then experimental film festivals.

there is a narrative yes.

But the execution is different.

I made a derivative style of the Steven Soderbergh's documentary style. the difference being he cuts within shots and I didn't.

IMO festivals eat anything "experimental" up with a spoon. A classic/conventional narrative not involving lesbians, AIDS, starving children, or saving the environment, now THAT is hard to get in a festival.
