Establishing an LLC in NYC

Do I need a lawyer to create an LLC in NYC or can I file the paperwork and do it myself? Anyone here have an LLC in NYC? Would like some insight into the process. Thanks, in advance, for your response.

You don't need a lawyer or an accountant, but both could come in handy.

LLC's have a good amount of fees associated with them. You should do some research and see if what you doing will be worth an LLC.
