EROSION World Premiere

Indie film EROSION will have its WORLD PREMIERE at the 2005 Brooklyn International Film Festival (www.wbff.org) on Jun 10th, 2005, 10pm at the Brooklyn Museum.

Shot on 35mm, EROSION is about a man, haunted by a failing relationship, devises a risque game for escape: breaking into strangers' homes to have sex with his accomplice, a married woman. House after house, they push the boundaries of pleasure and pain, attempting to defy reality by living stolen lives. But how far can they go before their past catches up with them? Experience EROSION and find out for yourself.

EROSION is writer/director Ann Lu’s follow up film to her critically acclaimed feature debut DREAMERS, which was the official selection of 7 int’l film festivals and won awards including Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography. In EROSION, Lu pushes the boundaries of on screen sexuality by injecting the film with a visceral eroticism that’s both evocative and disturbing.

Indeed. EROSION is the last collaboration of writer/director Ann Lu with her late husband cinematographer Neal L. Fredericks (THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT). The film was originally inspired by their marriage, but sadly, the tragedy of Neal’s passing, which bears stunning similarity to the events depicted in EROSION, befell Ann shortly after we completed principle photography. It has since permanently changed the meaning of EROSION and the meaning of filmmaking for Ann and everyone close to them. Ann wrote a journal on the making of EROSION which is posted on the website (under "THE FILM"). I strongly recommend everyone, specially those who will be viewing the film, to read the journal. It will be a better way to experience EROSION.
