Shot entirely on the Canon 5D2, I think SUPERNOVA is a great example of something different coming from this camera. I spent a great deal of time learning After Effects on the fly while cutting this video. And a few hundred hours of work later, I'm pretty pleased to bring this quirky hip-hop artist to life in his premier music video. Enjoy!

Great work, what can I say. Visually amazing, Optical Flares and Particles do their part very well. Song is great. Would love to hear more on how you did this (making of or whatever).
 
First off I'd like to say, thanks so much for posting this cause I've been considering getting
a 5D.
Second, it's amazing. Simply amazing. I love this music video.
The song is pretty sick too. :) I'm gonna go on itunes now and download!
 
I am throughly impressed! Very nice work, and the rapper isn't bad either. Besides the fact that it is visually pleasing, it's also just a super cohesive video. 2 questions, what did you budget mainly go to? (since most of your stuff was just effects) and were the lensflares done using Andrew Kramers plug-in?

About 4K went to studio time and rentals. The other $1000 was what I made!, lol

The effects were amazing but i dont get the lyrics. He talks about being immortal and being a supernova which I think is kinda a paradox.
