What would I attach a 7" monitor to? - I can't seem to find any sort of stand that is made to be on the floor for small monitors. What do you guys use?

I used a grinder to shave down an "elevator" bolt on 2 sides and washers and wingnuts to get it to fit into a cold shoe on top of the camera and stay where I put it. Works like a champ and multiple people can look at the monitor that way (including the cam op).
Cheap $10 tripod would work too. it should have a 1/4"-20 socket in the bottom of it.

A lot of 7" monitors have a 1/4"-20 socket on bottom. A lot of cheap ($10) have a 1/4"-20 thread screw on the plug. No tilt with it, but handy.
I actually try to run a video village if at all possible. a $200 HD computer monitor and an HDMI splitter are all that's required. I have a 5.6" mounted on camera that's split and run to a 26" that the script monkey can watch (or the director).

Haha, thanks man. It's technically film related too, when I took it I was sitting for a half hour on set waiting for the talent to show up.
I've done this before too and it's a great budget solution. We gaffed the computer monitor to an old projector cart and a cardboard box aroun it for a sunshade. Looks super ghetto in the behind the scenes and a gust of wind rolled it away once (extra jib counter-weights helped after) but it got the job done!
