Creating Credit Sequences

In the "no budget" world (a feature under 100K or so), generally done by the editor I think as opposed to a separate team.

I keep opening credits to a minimum, putting most of the credits at the end. Major players (director, sceenwriter, cinemtographer, executive producers) get the screen all to themselves, everybody else is in the scroll. The speed of the scroll depends on whether I am trying to stretch the movie a tad, or shorten it a tad. Where someone's credit appears, how big it is, how long it stays on screen CAN be in their contract, and/or used as an incentive. I always put music over the closing credits.

I like doing credits, heck, Id like to do it as a part time job!

Credits can be as creative as you want them to be. Many opening credits sequences are iconic in there own rights. Bond movies for example are like that.

Check out the videocopilot.net tutorials lots of motion graphics\title subject mater thereon.
