contacts for actors, eye FX

Anyone here used contacts for actors eyes? Is there such a thing as non-toxic drops for making them look like they are filled with blood or blackness?

Thanks.

Sure, actually I have some pics of me wearing them somewhere on the forums.

In particular, cataract lenses. We got them through 9mmsfx.com, which are fine for theatrical performers.

You'll need to have each actor visit an optometrist (which was about $80, I seem to recall) to have the eyeball measured for diameter curves & other such technical stuff. (Comes with a free vison test, too. 20-20at my age is awesome).

The lenses are for the individual. Tonnes of styles available.

I'll PM you a link to a BTS video with me wearing them. (I have no film-footage yet. All in post right now).

freaky stuff, Steve!

this is exactly what I was looking for. ;)

Crazy Gabe! Thanks for another website link.

I like their "Nightlife" design, too.

If you don't need the special eye look to be on screen for long, you might want to go with after effects eye color replacement. Cheaper
.

I might do a test using that, thanks. But the way I'm thinking of shooting the scene we'd hold on her face for enough time that the contacts might be best. We'll see what happens. ;)
