editing CapDVHS alternative?

I've been using CapDVHS to capture video from some Canon HV 40's, but it doesn't seem to be working any more.

It's not just me, either. The fellow I'm working with has had the same thing happen.

Does anyone know of another good (and free) bit of software to capture from HDV tape?
