DEADLINE: DEC. 17, 2004

Presented by Scion in association with the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival
PlanetOut Inc. and the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (MGLFF) are proud to announce the Sixth Annual PlanetOut Short Movie Awards. These prestigious annual awards celebrate excellence in lesbian and gay short filmmaking. Winners receive the opportunity to reach a national audience via online exhibition of their work and to have their work reviewed by industry professionals.

Our jury will select a Grand Prize winner, as well as five First Prize winners in each of five categories (drama, comedy, animation, experimental and documentary), working from a shortlist of finalists determined by the MGLFF and PlanetOut Inc.

The winners will be announced and presented at a special PlanetOut Short Movie Awards ceremony and program at MGLFF on April 24, 2005. The Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is the premiere LGBT film festival in the Southeastern United States showcasing the best new GLBT films to an international audience.
