Budget prosthetics

Has anyone got any good tips and how to achieve good results wtih prosthetics on a budget

I am about to shoot a short and I'm in need of creating a growth.

This growth doesn't need to look grotesque or anything like that, but I do need a convincing skin growth

I had a meeting the other day and she recommended her friend who is exceptionally talented and had some great experience on sets, but hiring her on a daily basis will prove to be very costly. There is the option of hiring her for one day, but it would cause the production a lot of difficulty shooting all of the 'growth' shots in one day

So, is anybody able to offer any advice?

cheers :)

Depending exactly what you mean by "skin growth" you
can use liquid latex, Derma wax or even buy finished
prosthetics from Woochie.

Doing this yourself, without any experience can result in
an effect that doesn't look very good. That's why make
up artists charge to do their magic.

But you can do it yourself using the products mentioned.
