Bong Water movie affect

This is a question to anyone who has seen the movie "bong water" There is a scene where luke Wilson's character is tripping on acid and he hallucinates he is playing a board game with his mom. His mom brought a bottle of some strange drink and while the bottle sits on the table it changes colors in a constant even flow.
does anybody know what that affect is called?

That's a hue/saturation change that can be easily done in After Effects or similar. Probably doable in newer versions of Premiere, with the mask/matte tools.

A small bit of rotoscoping needed when the hand passes in front of the bottle, but no biggie.
