I know several people who say they are official presenters at different festivals. They say they present in music and film. What exactly is their job?

I plan to. But I figured I ask on here with people that are supposed to know as well.

During a festival award ceremony, there is a "host" who does all the talking and keeps the show moving, and there is a "presenter" who hands the award to the winner(s). Sometimes the presenter is assigned something to say, and sometimes the presenter simply walks out from backstage carrying the correct award. There can be one presenter for the whole show, or there might be one for each category. Each festival is different.

Are you looking for the term Festival Promoter? This is most definitely a career. A presenter is not a career unless there is some ongoing series and there is staff.
