One of the true greats passed away this week, and I am saddened.

These guys not only put out some of the greatest music in hip-hop history (and I'm not even a big hip-hop fan...) but they also produced some the of the coolest videos I've ever seen.

RIP Adam. You will be missed... :(

This is very sad news indeed. Been a long time Beastie Boys fan. Adam, you will be missed. Thanks for the video link. Brings back memories.
 
Huh, no wonder they kept playing Beastie Boys on the radio. Not much of a fan of theirs, but sad news to hear nonetheless.
 
I still remember the time me and a friend bowled with Adam and his manager, Eddie in Maspeth Queens when he was in the area to visit his Grandma in Brooklyn. He was a great individual. He bought us all the beer and munchies we could eat that night as we bowled.
