Basic tips?

Hey everyone. I'm new to this site and am just looking for information. I'm a Junior in High School and am decided to pursue a major in Film. I'm looking at colleges, USC, UCLA, FSU, UWM, etc. and I see that they want some sort of art portfolio of films I have created or something?

I make YouTube videos and such and recently bought an HD camera.

What are some tips so I can get crackin' on those?
Tips about camera angles, scripts, sounds, etc.

Like where to get non-copyrighted music.

Right here on indietalk there are some great threads

Check out for scripts and for music and sounds. For camera angles the best
thing to do is work on your own style. Shoot close ups, shoot over the shoulder,
shot 2-shots, shoot a master shot and then play with different angles you think
might be interesting.
