watch Awake - Short Film

So for the last couple of months we’ve been working on what I consider our first serious attempt at a short with a little more substance. The concept for the film all came from personal experiences as a result of suffering from pretty severe insomnia for the last five years. I think we tackled the subject in a unique way that I personally haven’t seen explored before.

Wow, wow, wow..... Fantastic. I really got the feeling you were trying to express. Awesome job!

I like the cello, but when you cut it abruptly it left a void. Maybe that was intentional but it was distracting. If you are wanting the juxtaposition maybe it would be better to use "empty" sound.

I'm wondering what the unique way is, that you tackled the subject? Have you seen Fight Club?

I can't believe that clip goes on for 24 hours!!! I'll second the fight club reference, but it was an enjoyable film!

I can kind of relate with the main character to be honest. I suffer insomnia also due to back and leg pains.

Really liked it though!

Thanks to everybody for taking the time to watch. Yes I have seen Fight Club, and yes he suffers from insomnia and is denied medication, but it's a minor part of the film. I can see why you'd make that connection though.

joshythehipster, sorry to hear that you suffer from insomnia as well, it can really wear you down. I'm glad you enjoyed the film.
