Looks like a popularity contest, winner decided on by public internet vote..

These sort of things generally go to whoever has the largest twitter following. We've all seen how it works, you spam your friends everyday and get them to go and vote for you. Those friends don't watch any of the content they just do their little click and move on with their lives.

Good luck to whatever film maker can win the $10,000.

I'm a little confused by the prize descriptions.. It says this under the 10k
"AT&T will select the final eight videos, and a second round of voting will occur, where all eight videos are winners!"

And then it lists prize values for video 1-7 but it lists no prize value at all for #8. But it says literally 7 times in a row that all top 8 videos are winners. Doesn't look like 8 is a winner to me, there is no prize listed. So it's confusing.
