Aspect Ratio issue

So im editing this video of my colleges production of spring awakening and when i exported it the aspect ratio was all screwed up. As you can see here

how do I fix this? It was shot on t2i's. None of the footage was converted.

1920 x 1080 is your original

1280 x 1080 is your export

It's ok, Zensteve. The problem is not the resolution, but he is applying it WITH distortion. When in fact he wants to apply without distortion, just cropping the footage.
I don't use Final Cut, but if you research about cropping the footage without distort it, you will find your solution.

Edit: er, I'm supposing he wants to crop it. If don't, so Zensteve is right.
Edit 2: forget what I said, even if you want to crop, that's not the proper resolution, lol.

I've never even seen 1280x1080 before. Shouldn't that be 1280x720? Or 1920x1080?
