As someone who has been through it all, I would recommend trying to get a position in a real animation company. All companies used to train you on the job, and even now, many companies around the world (including Disney) still prefer to train on the job. Some of these places do not like trained applicants because they believe that they need to untrain you before they start to train you in their style of animation.
In fact, I learned very early on while at an institute that you can ruin your career at the wrong institute because it is a small industry and many companies have owners who hold grudges for decades.
There are other ways to get into the industry, and other skills that studios look for in applicants. If you need me to go into detail, just send me a PM or email.
