I found this site while searching for information on a certain film distributor/rep who contacted me via FB about my "wonderful" film. I learned a lot about the experiences of others who were approached by these same people, and I am very grateful! I am happy to have found this community. Strength in numbers!
I realize we are asked not to promote our films here, but how does one introduce one's self on an Indie Site without mentioning their film(s)? Forgive me if this is out of line. I am a one person independent film company with one completed film, a feature length documentary called "Nona Beamer: A Legacy of Aloha." This was a four year experiment to see if one person with a camera and a computer could make a feature film. The answer is, "Yes!" Now I am working on bringing the film out, requiring a whole new set of skills and another steep learning curve. I am looking forward to finding answers and information on this site. Not to mention finding allies and fellow travelers.
