Alien eyes

An agent goes into a home to kill a criminal. He makes his way to the back of the house, where he finds the man with his back to him. The agent pulls out his gun, and shoots the man several times in the head. But blood does not come out, a green liquid oozes out. The man with the gunshots in his head turns around, revealing neon green eyes. He is an alien. Cut to black. Then we cut to the agent walking out of the house. We assume he has killed the alien. When he gets into his car, he takes off his sunglasses, revealing neon green alien eyes. He too is now an alien.

Above is a summary of a scene from my new film I am struggling with. I have written the script, all of the shots are planned out, and the actors are ready. Unfortunately one of the actors cannot wear contacts. Is there any other way to pull off the alien eyes without contacts (without doing work in post)? And if not, what can I do to show he has become an alien? :abduct:

This is a great forum. Understand you don't have a proper program for creating such an effect on your system. I'm sure someone around here does. You could try soliciting the assistance of one of the members. Then send them the clip, with screen shots of the actor who wore the contacts, and have them try their best to match it up. I'm fairly new to after effects, but doesn't seem like it would be too difficult of a thing to do. Offer the person doing the work credit in the film, and you might be good to go.

I think Jeff's right - it's not a super difficult effects shot, so you could probably find someone to do it for you. Not many options otherwise... short of painting alien eyes on their eyelids with makeup!

Different actor who can wear contacts?

is the actor who is saying they cant wear contacts saying so because an eye doctor told them their vision couldn't be corrected with contacts? This is not the same a medical reason prohibiting wearing contacts. My daughter has a rare condition that causes ulcers on her scalera when she wears contacts.. she still wears them, just not for very long each time!

blue veins on the neck that disappear...

you could do an old school film trick with florescent paint and black lights..

paint the veins on with some normally clear but fluorescing substance\paint... then feather with a flag, the black light to slowly reveal\hide the fluorescing veins..

The actor will be wearing an alien prosthetic on one side of his face. When he walks out of the house, he is only shot from one side (the human side). Before he gets into the car, we do a 180 around him, revealing the alien part of his face.
