AIDAN 5

I'm curious...from what the teaser shows, the detail in the environment is much higher than the 48hr version...is this going to be consistently the case? I love it...it looks fantastic.

A bit of BLADE RUNNER in there? My fave.

Because of the constraints of the 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT's contract, they re-shot and obviously re-did all the compositing and FX work from the original 48 Hour Film Project version they did in 2008. I saw this last year and it blew my mind...

Yup. Noticed that. Some of the same shots...with more time taken in background illustration. I watched the full 48 one...was really cool.

I think my previous questions was more so: is the newer detail seen in the teaser going to be the consistent detail throughout the webseries?

Looks like it. I think the teaser did not incorporate any of the new, re-shot footage. I haven't seen anything new yet, but it's set to premiere this Friday with episode one. Should be kick ass. I can't wait.

Kick.

Ass.

Really well done. Can't wait for next one. The lead actor is really good...which I suppose is necessary...since you're cloning him. Ha! Nice work guys.

Yeah Bryan has been advertising this on fxhome.com for a while now. He's really proud of it and for good reason, its some of the best stuff I've ever seen, IMO.

I've been waiting for Ep 2...but apparently there were some personal issues with some of the crew, and it had to be put on hold. I actually emailed the Aidan people yesterday (ironically) asking how things were, and when we might catch the next Ep. I'm still waiting for a response.

However, serendipity took me to another webseries that looks freakin' amazing...which the Aidan people are backing as well...I saw this actually on the Aidan blog...

Check out MERCURY MEN...wow. Wow. And a little more wow.

Love the cinematography, the style, the noirness and the concept...kind of like Watchmen on a low budget. But everything looks so well done.

They are officially launching the series now. A new episode every 2 weeks. I saw the first 4 in the theater last night. WOW. This might just be the next big viral web series.

Really cool

People using their brains to overcome a limited budget, I love it! Great example of people that are really working to produce something unique.

I was willing to overlook the cheesiness of the visuals, as well as the cheesy political debate.

But when the third guy says, "Sentimentality ain't my thing," I just rolled my eyes and clicked on.

Such a cliche. So blatant.

People for whom sentimentality isn't their thing don't go around telling people that. They don't talk about sentimentality.

How difficult would it be to just show his character in action?

Sorry, my cheesometer only goes so high.

To each his own. I dig this. I find all film noir to be a little cheezy, but it's okay to me.

Someone else just pointed out that Episode 2 has 2/3rd of my cast from ACCIDENTAL ART in it. I didn't even realize it.
