after effects plug ins question

i just got action essentials 2 for after effects but i cant figure out how to put i the plugins, ive always had plug in problems.. ive put the whole folder in to the AE plug ins folder but they still dont pop up in the effect/preset section..

so i tried to put them in my media core plug ins, nothing.
am i supposed to put them in as a folder or just individual effects?

Action Essentials isnt a plugin they are just video files with an alpha that you import into AE and put on top of footage.

Doesn't action essentials come with a bunch of tutorials? Been a while since I've looked at it.

what about sony vegas pro 10? its there anythig i can get that arent homemade plugins? like expantions (just like action essentials for after effects)

Yes, Boris makes some decent Vegas plugins.
