Advice on Camera

Right now, I am using my Flip Mino HD. I think it is great, besides the sound. Is it worth keeping this camera and buying an external mic, or buying a new camera all together?

dont think you can put an external mic in that.. you'd have to get an external recorder and sync up in post. I like my flip ultra HD.. good for family stuff..

Do you think it will do for short films?

Its better to make a movie with the camera you have, than not make a movie with the camera you don't have. So make a movie with it, then decide what you want in your NEXT camera.
