That was a great article. It's a good reminder of what is possible when you need to get something done with what you have available.

The Wizard of Oz was on a few nights ago and I watched part of it while flipping stations. They really got a lot done considering the technological era. The other thing I noticed that I never did before is that it was presented and shot like a play.

I didn't know about Independance Day and Escape From New York.

The funny thing omitted from that article on ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, the special effects guy who setup and shot the fake computer New York was none other than James Cameron.

The forced perspective for LOTR sounds a lot more intricate than I'd thought.
