Licensed Music in Background of Live Event

I'll try. If I can't I'll just overlay some music and maybe some dialogue. Not sure what direction I'm even taking this yet just exploring all options.

Licensed Music in Background of Live Event

Hey, mussonman I can handle that I think. I could use crowd noise from during the fight when there's no music playing and just overlay it to different entrance music. Would rather use original if possible, which I gues is obvious by now...

Licensed Music in Background of Live Event

I realize that, and I see that done all the time for replayed sporting events. But this is a documentary thing. I can easily overlay my own music but that cuts the crowd out as well. I was hoping to portray the event as it unfolded but only if I know that nobody will get in trouble...

Licensed Music in Background of Live Event

This was a well organized event at a well established club. It will even be broadcast on Comcast. I'm confident they had all their ASCAP and BMI stuff together. I expect Comcast to not film the entrances however for obvious reasons.

Licensed Music in Background of Live Event

Thanks everyone. I guess I should have clarified this is a non profit amateur DOCUMENTARY film. I'm just following these guys around and showing what they do. I have some decent sources for CC music, but I just wanted to capture the "feel" of walking out to the cage with crowd noise and all...

    Messing with Cameras Now

Thanks for the feedback. What do you mean by "soft"? I'll look in to it but really that's the level I'm at right now, I don't know any jargon at all. Episode 0 was actually my first try with a video camera. The coaches and fighters agreed to do it so I took my gear up there for a personal...

    Messing with Cameras Now

I guess I'm going through the camera phase. I bought a nice DSLR to take stills and I didn't even know it could take good video. So now I'm testing it out and making a few shorts. The experience has been pretty cool. It's hard to believe people like what I've done. I'm following two...

watch Fighter Documentary -- Short Episodes

I got a camera and instead of reading a book on how to use it I took it to this fight gym where I train and started filming. These episodes are the result. https://vimeo.com/album/2308592 This is entirely undirected. I've never once had a burning desire to make films, but it has been a...
