Director wants my connections to replace me with pop star girls?

I've been in this exact situation. I stood up for myself, and You need to stand up for yourself. You created this project for YOU to be the lead. It was not for Will Smith, it was not for the Rock, it was for YOU. Therefore you need to stand your ground and let your friend know how strongly...

    What camera should I get?

Panasonic G7. UHD (3840x2160) 14-42 kit lens and slightly better low light than the GH4. Heads and shoulders better than the T2i at an affordable price.

    Syfy Movie Guidelines

Just a bit of fun to inject into my next project. Wrapping up a feature (Post Production) and writing the next.

    Syfy Movie Guidelines

I believe it was a Modern Day Myth Prod. LLC thread about the Goddess project he was doing at the time. Heck, it was when I first signed up. So at least a couple years.

    Syfy Movie Guidelines

A couple years ago there was a thread that included "supposed" guidelines for Syfy features. 1- Scenes must occur during the day. 2- The Monster must appear every 8 minutes. Does anyone remember this topic or have a copy of the guidelines?

    Audio People HELP!!! Strange Microphone

I'm glad you chimed in. Three different cables. They all fit. They all lock into it. The xlr socket has the internal structure to support modern cables. I'm wondering if it is from another region. Oh, I sent a message to the US branch of Audio Technica. Maybe they can provide an answer.

    Audio People HELP!!! Strange Microphone

Outputs, sorry. The inner edge of the xlr port. Upon further inspection it seems more uniform than corkscrew. I went through the Audio-Technica discontinued microphones. There were a couple similar mics, but nothing exact, at least not in the US. Sounds decent so far. Have not put it...

    Audio People HELP!!! Strange Microphone

I have been looking for microphones for reference audio. My search has led me to picking up an old Audio-technica microphone I can not identify. XLR outputs. Inner grooves for something to screw into it. Made in Japan.

    Microphone for Reference Audio

Will stray from super cheap this time. I bought a Chinese shotgun mic last week. Good sound for the price, but it fell apart after once use.

    Microphone for Reference Audio

Understood. That is what I meant by the record times. Probably wasn't essential info for my problem. I just wanted to give as much info as possible. Also did some research. Seems the DR40 has a bit of an issue with losing sync over time.

    Microphone for Reference Audio

Camera: Gh2, G6 External Recorder: Tascam DR 40 (Upgrading Soon) Plug: GH2 2.5mm (3.5mm Adapter) G6 3.5mm I have had sync issues with longer recordings. After a while the timing was a bit off. I will be using one mic for both. Just making sure it was stated. Yes. GH2 and G6...

    Microphone for Reference Audio

I will be booming sound and occasionally using lavaliers for my next project. I have a clapper board for syncing, but I also use plural eyes. I need a low noise microphone that will allow me to get strong reference audio. None of the scenes will be going over 4 minutes of continuous shooting...

watch 48 Hour film Fest and Cinema Feature Concept Video

Thanks. There are a couple things we could have done better. We just ran out of time. The second was just a couple shots we wanted to try before we embarked upon a longer narrative. Sci-fi is very tough on zero budget. Hopefully we can find a way to work around our shortcomings.

I will see if I can get the sound track and remaster it. I was not a part of the post production team, so I didn't have much say in the final output.
