rayw I agree with you about Black death. It was almost like a medieval version of the Wicker man but had none of the charm of that film, the original I mean. Despite having some great actors it didn't work out that well.
Nice to see Daniel Steiner again though
Empire is my favourite, I loved the taun taun in that and anything with lots of snow and ice in is fine by me. I wasn't so keen on Yoda though as I have never liked muppet type creatures, dont get me started on the Ewoks , arrrggghhh
Not sure about my fav line but I do find myself repeating...
I felt I was transported right back to 1886 ;-) Very funny. I prefer your horror shorts though. One of my first super 8 films was a spaghetti western, complete with child actors with painted on moustaches.
Seeing as you have all that glorious moorland in your area how about a Beast of Bodmin...
Interesting ideas Zen Steve, especially number 3 as you say. Although I don't bother with facebook much I certainly would use it to vote to see really good movies that, under normal circumstances, would no longer be shown. Love to see Blade Runner again on the big screen.
You can get to see...
My daughter, 13, is like that, she says she hates black and white films and groans if I put one on. That said, she did sit with me a couple of years ago and watched `Whatever happened to baby Jane` and `12 angry men` and thought they were very good.
When I grew up and started to watch movies on tv a lot, in the 70`s there were only 3 channels available and movies were shown regularly, especially on a Sunday afternoon. These were all movies made many years earlier. New movies were not shown on tv for several years after their cinema...
Well the high court has ordered UK ISP`s to deny access to their users to the well known torrent site Pirate Bay, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17894176
As many people have said it wont make much impact, if any, on piracy as there are so many alternatives sites and ways around bypassing...
I found several videos interviewing Stu Maschwitz on the following site which seemed quite interesting, i have Stu`s DV rebel guide book but nice to the see the guy explain it all in person, http://www.macvideo.tv/editing/interviews/?articleid=3212651
Enter stu`s name at top to find all the...
Very nice film, reminded me a little of the tales told on the Jim Henson series `The storyteller` back in the 90`s
Like the other films you have done, especially the Beast
Watched `Third star` with Benedict Cumberbatch on BBC i player last night, 7/10. A story about a man who is dying of cancer going on a last trip with his mates. Quite funny and emotional
Great pics, weird to see some of them showing construction workers on bridges with no apparent safety gear. Health and safety guys would have a field day now.
The first shot showing the light beams flooding into Grand central station is gorgeous
It all depends what mood I am in whether I enjoy films like Transformers or not. If I`m not bothered about thinking about a film and just want to be entertained they are ok. But I do agree that they just seem to be one similar fight scene after another and that does get boring.
On a side note...
