Ahh things are exactly the same as the last time I posted here.

I really hope they can somehow get this into the cheaper crop Canon cameras but the big limitation seems to be that they record on SD cards which aren't fast enough for RAW. I hope there's a work around because as of now 1080p can't be achieved on a Rebel.

DSLRs are still cameras that can do video. Lots of people without much money use these for video because they have a large sensor, which means good lowlight capability and control over depth of field. The downsides are that its form factor isn't suitable for video without some sort of support...
