Thanks! I'm hoping for it to be finished by mid to end of August. I'll keep everyone posted.

    watch Short Film Trailer

No worries. Critique is good. It did end up slightly more over exposed than I wanted. Guess next time I'll make sure I have a field monitor and not rely on what my DP sees. It will work though for the scene.

    watch Short Film Trailer

The film is only about 4 minutes long. We did a very basic grade to the footage but didn't go too crazy with it. The overexposure was an artistic choice based on that portion of the scene. As far as it being enticing, I have actually had nothing but positive feedback from people saying that...

Well I'm sorry you feel that way. Any more information given would have ruined the story. I appreciate your input, though.

    Working/Interning on feature film

So the film is wrapped up and in the can. Sorry I didn't keep you guys as up to date as I wanted to, but the days and nights were long and sleep was of the priority. As I mentioned in the first few posts, I was able to rotate through the different departments. I spent a good portion of the...

Is being a Production Assistant a bad job?

I have been working on a feature film for the last month with a couple big name actors as a production intern which has basically turned into a volunteer PA position. I have been busting my ass over the last few weeks but that work has paid off 100 fold. I have rotated through a few different...

    Working/Interning on feature film

Wow it's been a long time since I have been on a film set. The last one I was at was on the set of Before and After in the late 90's. I had forgotten how much energy is there. Had an awesome time yesterday. I was just there providing medical support for the stunts so I really didn't get my...

watch T2i Footage from our latest snow storm

My wife thought that was a pretty cool touch. I didn't really correct too much, just enhanced what was already there with the 3 way color corrector in Final Cut. Threw a slight blue tint to the whites also for the "cool" snow look.

    Spielberg's "Duel"

Must have been a hiccup in your system...all worked fine for me.

    Spielberg's "Duel"

That ending was a lot better. True, it really is a pretty basic plot line without any real depth to the characters, but like he said...it was the movie that put him on the map as a feature film director at such a young age. It just goes to show how a basic concept can be turned into a huge...

    Spielberg's "Duel"

I just watched Steven Spielberg's Duel this weekend. A simple, great movie. For those who are not familiar with it as I wasn't until I watched an interview with him, it was his first feature film shot for TV. He was able to complete the shooting in 13 days. There is a great 45 minute...

watch Video of a Blackhawk Helicopter

Here's some footage of a Blackhawk Helicopter that "stopped by" the school that my wife teaches at. They came by the other day for Veterans Day. Pretty cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1R7mHdU_F0
